Our Vision
To love every human being as being the image of Almighty God, and to treat everyone, no matter which caste, creed, race, ethnicity or nationality they have, with respect. We aim to serve humanity without discrimination of any kind. Our major focus is on helping feed the hungry, providing quality education in rural areas, especially to women and children, and to provide affordable healthcare to the underprivileged. Through our humanitarian service, we endeavor to bring Almighty God's message of universal brotherhood, compassion and love, to the entire world.
3 Decades & Counting: Conducting Humanitarian Work in Punjab
Bhai Kanhaiya Charitable Trust was first organized in India on June 21, 1994. We have been doing very important humanitarian work in Punjab, India since then. Our organization has been operating Bhai Kanhaiya Charitable Hospital, a free medical care dispensary, providing medical care free to the poor, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and also offering weekly, free dental care, free hepatitis and cancer screening camps and free cornea replacement camps in Bathinda. We also financially support the Seva Jyoti monthly magazine with articles with exegesis on Gurbani, on Sikh history and important social issues, which is circulated free of cost to 14000 homes in India, the United States and the United Kingdom. We also provide clothing and blankets to the poor in the winter and langar (all three meals) 365 days a year, to the poor in Goniana Mandi. Scholarships for higher education are also provided to young women in rural areas in Bathinda District.
Our Impact
We have now been incorporated in the United States as a 501(c)3 federally tax exempt non-profit organization. The first task for this organization is to build a Multi-Specialty Charitable Hospital with a an Advanced Cancer Center in Bathinda for the thousands of Cancer patients in Bathinda and Mansa districts, who are unable to find affordable healthcare or appropriate treatment at affordable prices and hence have to travel hundreds of miles to other big cities in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan for Cancer Treatment.
