It has been hard to swallow all the difficult news that continues to pour in. However, it has been truly inspiring to see how the community has come together to help fight this recent surge in COVID-19 in India. The way in which the global community came together so strongly and quickly sets the precedent of the power and impact we all can have in times of need.
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to raise $420K+ for Khalsa Aid’s efforts on the frontlines via DVN! As a result of this fundraising, 450 oxygen concentrators landed in New Delhi today and have now cleared customs. They will be collected by the India team tomorrow morning for distribution. 50 oxygen concentrators will reach Mumbai on Friday. This would have not been possible without all of your efforts. These machines will go on to help many in need this very week and we wouldn’t have gotten there without all those who contributed.
The Khalsa Aid team will evaluate how the needs are changing and evolving and move forward from there. We will stop collecting funds specifically for the concentrator project as we hit our goal.
