*Please note this was a joint effort of the Sikh Gurdwaras of Southeast Michigan: Aasraa food pantry was simply a vehicle to raise funds.

Vaaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

We are so grateful to the online community for their generous donations. We exceeded our goal of $1000 by raising $3,676.00. All together we were able to deliver over 50,000 bottles to the community of Flint in this exciting joint endeavor!

While our page shows we had 37 donors raising the $3,676.00, the actual amount was over 100. There were many people who donated directly to the local Gurdwaras.

Thank you for proving that together we are able to make a difference.

While pallets of water by organizations and celebrities have started coming in, the local Gurdwaras are looking at other ways we can help our neighbors in Flint, especially healthcare for the youth of Flint.

We will provide another update once a direction on how to be further involved in the community is decided.
