Smartphones play an important role in our lives today but there are limited Sikhi based resources available for kids. Khalis Foundation pioneered high quality Sikhi focused children's books and so far we have launched 4 titles geared towards younger children.
We know that at some point kids will get access to smartphones and there is a shortage of quality content that is available for them. We will develop games with rich content to keep kids engaged and educate them on Gurbani and Punjabi/Gurmukhi.
We have already created prototypes and mockups, and we are continuing to do more user research in terms of how to make our content more relevant to kids. If you have similar ideas, we are happy to collaborate. Our initial app “My First Gutka” for kids has been welcomed by our users and we hope to continue innovating in this field. We have successfully launched several other mobile apps in the past, including Sundar Gutka, Rehit Maryana and Learn Larivaar.
Funding from this project will be used towards engineering costs and graphics design.
