The fires in and around Los Angeles have caused devastating destruction—40,000+ acres burned, 24 lives tragically lost, and over 150,000 people forced to leave their homes.
UNITED SIKHS volunteers are tirelessly working on the ground to bring relief to those affected. In the last few days, we have been able to help hundreds of impacted families at:
These centers are often make-shift locations that are open for a limited time. As newer centers emerge in highly affected areas, UNITED SIKHS stays in touch with local law enforcement agencies, FEMA, VOAD, and other organizations to ensure timely help reaches where it’s needed the most.
