JUL 27, 2024
The 92nd Sikh International Youth Camp which was organized by IIGS from July 14-20, 2024, at Camp Seely in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains, concluded successfully. Participants came from all over to be part of this camp.
While campers enjoyed the morning and evening dewans where they sang their favorite shabads and learned a few new ones, they also got a chance to learn a lot more about Sikh Faith, Gurbani, Sikh History and Culture
Along with a lot of learning, campers also got a chance to relax and have fun. They went trekking, played basketball, volleyball, enjoyed swings, swimming, learned Gatka and Bhangra, and much more.
Picnic day was a very special one. All the campers got camp T-shirts which they wore proudly. Musical chairs, balloon fights, frizbee tossing, yummy food... total blast. Campfire night was amazing. Everyone got a chance to showcase their special talent and enjoy the last evening together before saying their goodbyes to their newfound friends and family.
Bidding farewell is always hard. By the time they came to part, campers had developed a new network of friends whom they promised to stay in touch with and with the hope to meet again soon, bid farewell.
