2023 DVN Match Fund Update and Request

DASVANDHWEEK 2023 GOALS & REQUEST

Donors can create a diverse giving portfolio on Dasvandh Network (DVN), supporting various transparent social causes. Our goal is to encourage Sikhs to contribute to impactful activism aligned with Sikh values, addressing challenges within our community. Thanks to your support, we've seen significant growth. Last year, we raised $2.1M for our 70+ partners, our most successful year yet, with a significant boost from matching funds. In DasvandhWeek 2022 alone, we secured $710K in total donation pledges.

This year, we aim to "Build a Better Tomorrow" with your help. We're striving to secure $1M in pledged donations for our 80+ partners during DasvandhWeek 2023 in just 10 days. In order to do this, we need $350K+ in the match pool. We need your support this year now more than ever. Please donate to the match fund to help us with the largest Sikh digital fundraiser in the world. Every dollar you contribute to the match fund pool allows us to raise an additional $3 from the community, creating a powerful impact across the board for all initiatives on our website.

DASVANDHWEEK 2022 PERFORMANCE

Our theme last year was “The Power of Giving”. In addition to the overall pledges, here are some intriguing stats highlighting the beneficial effects of the fundraiser:

• $710K in total pledges raised in 10 days 
• $3 raised for every $1 contributed to the match fund
• 57 orgs raised an average of $12K funds during 10 days and 13 orgs raised more than $20K
• 151 new monthly recurring donations set up for 27 orgs (additional $3.5K per month for orgs)
• 20K new users to our website
• 2100+ unique donors (more than the entirety of 2021)
• 1500 new donors to DVN (70% of total donors)
