Jeevay Sanjha Punjab (JSP), a heritage preservation initiative, has rediscovered the site of Gurdwara Shikargarh, a historical Sikh shrine abandoned in 1947 during the partition of Punjab. The Gurdwara, next to Sukka Talab, visited by Siri Hargobind Sahib, is located near the intersection of Lahore's Warris Road and Queens Road. The site was demolished in the past 15 years or so, but the local residents still fondly remember it. The area is still listed as Gurdwara Mohalla on the local residents' identity cards.

This remarkable discovery was made possible through JSP's meticulous research of pre-1947 historical records in Gurmukhi and consultations with local elders.

Siri Guru Hargobind Sahib is believed to have hunted here while he was visiting Mozang.

The rediscovery of Gurdwara Shikargarh is part of JSP's broader mission to locate Sikh shrines that have been "lost in memory" since the partition. Over the past few years, JSP has successfully identified approximately 15 such historical sites in the Lahore district, all linked to Sikh Gurus. These efforts aim to bring these sacred sites back into the collective memory of the Sikh community and preserve their historical significance for future generations.
