Prabh Aasra - Sports Achievement Report 

Prabh Aasra, is committed to providing care and empowerment to children with special needs, has seen remarkable success in recent sports events. These competitions provided a platform for the children to showcase their skills and abilities across multiple sports disciplines. Prabh Aasra athletes have demonstrated exceptional talent, winning numerous Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals across various competitions in the second half of 2024. Below is a summary of their achievements:

Cradle of Hope: Compassionate Care for Vulnerable Lives

On the night of December 1, 2024, at 11:24 PM, a one-year-old girl was discovered abandoned in the cradle at the main gate of Prabh Aasra. The child, soaked and exhibiting signs of severe chest congestion, was in urgent need of medical attention. Acting swiftly, the staff provided immediate care and transported her to Civil Hospital, Phase-6, SAS Nagar, where she was stabilized with oxygen support.

On December 13, 2024, at 7:05 PM, an approximately one-month-old baby boy, later named Harjivan Singh, was found in the same cradle. The baby was in distress, his clothes completely wet from the cold. Bibi Rajinder Kaur tenderly attended to him, changing his soaked clothes to ensure his warmth and comfort. She lovingly fed him warm milk, ensuring he felt safe and secure. The infant was then taken to Civil Hospital, Phase-6, SAS Nagar, for a detailed medical examination.

These heart-touching incidents shine a light on the vital role Prabh Aasra plays as a sanctuary for abandoned and vulnerable children. With swift actions, unwavering compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility, the organization continues to offer not just safety and care but also the hope of a better tomorrow for those in need.

New Admission Report:

Prabh Aasra welcomed 16 new members, referred by legal authorities including the DSSO, DCPO, and police, along with 2 infants received through the cradle care program. Each individual has been provided with compassionate care, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being as part of the Unified Family. This reflects Prabh Aasra’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals in need.

Post-Diwali Cleanup Drive by Prabh Aasra Inhabitants:

After Diwali festivities, Prabh Aasra’s inhabitants, led by Bibi Rajinder Kaur, launched a cleanup drive from Padiala to Singhpura, tackling firecracker pollution. This impactful initiative not only restored cleanliness but also championed eco-friendly celebrations, reinforcing Prabh Aasra’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, community welfare, and environmental responsibility.

Free Medical Camp at Fatehgarh Sahib:

From December 24th to 28th, 2024, Prabh Aasra conducted a free medical camp during the Shaheedi Jor Mela at Fatehgarh Sahib. The camp offered free general health check-ups, medicines, health counseling, ambulance services and referrals for specialized treatments. Benefiting hundreds and saving lives of many, this initiative showcased Prabh Aasra's dedication to accessible healthcare, made possible by the efforts of doctors, nurses, paramedical  staff and volunteers.

VISITS AND CELEBRATION

Prabh Aasra recently welcomed esteemed guests who brought joy and encouragement to its residents. Hansraj Raghuwanshi inspired with his warmth, while the Judges of Voice of Punjab Sachin Ahuja, Mannat Noor, and Kamal Khan visited and applauded the team’s dedication. Serve Humanity Serve God Charitable Trust and Hallomajra Church shared blessings and generous contributions.

Nimrat Partap Singh celebrated his birthday with residents, setting up diverse food stalls to treat them to delicious refreshments. The Hartek Foundation marked Shaheedi Days with a movie screening and langar, fostering unity. Grey Star uplifted spirits through craft sessions and meaningful donations.

The cast of "Apne Ghar Begane" delighted residents with a special screening, while DSP Harsimrat Singh Bal celebrated his son’s birthday at Prabh Aasra, commending its mission.

These moments of kindness reaffirm the power of compassion in transforming lives.

School and College Engagements:
Students from Tohra Institute gained practical training in community service at Prabh Aasra, while Garden Valley School, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Marauli Kalan, and St. Anne’s Convent School visited to learn about social responsibility and rehabilitation efforts. PM Shri KV3 BRD AFS Chandigarh students and

staff contributed donations and engaged with the Society residents.

Lohri Celebrations at Prabh Aasra

Baba Gajidas Club hosted a Lohri celebration on January 12, featuring performances by Balveer Sufi, Mannat Noor, Samiksha alongside talent showcases by Prabh Aasra’s children. On January 13, traditional rituals, folk songs, and bhangra dances brought the inhabitants together.
The festivities concluded on January 14 with a special appearance by Ammy Virk Ji, who organized food stalls and a special dinner for the inhabitants. He commended Prabh Aasra’s team for their dedication, highlighting the strong sense of unity among the inhabitants.
