Baywatana at Parliament of The World's Religions

We wanted to share some exciting news and updates regarding our documentary project, "Baywatana: Without a Country," which you played an integral role in supporting. Your belief in our vision and your generous contribution has been instrumental in bringing this project to life.

We are thrilled to inform you that "Baywatana" had its premiere screening at the Parliament of World Religions Film Festival in Chicago on August 15th. The response we received was truly overwhelming, and the impact of the documentary was evident as it resonated deeply with the audience. The emotional connections forged through the stories of Afghan Sikhs and Hindus touched the hearts of everyone present.

As we shared the film, we were approached by numerous human rights organizations, institutes, and universities with invitations to screen "Baywatana." This outpouring of interest reinforces the relevance and significance of the narrative we have woven through the documentary.

We are immensely proud to share this journey with you, and it's an honor to have your support behind us. Your belief in our cause has helped us reach this pivotal juncture.

Our next steps involve raising the remaining funds needed to enhance the production quality of the documentary. Currently, we are limited to digital rights usage due to our current funding. To fully release the film, we need to secure broadcast rights for the copyrighted material, hire a background music composer, and complete color grading for a polished, professional finish.

We understand the value of your contribution, and we would like to extend an invitation for further involvement. If you find it within your capacity, we welcome additional support. Additionally, if you have contacts who share our passion for storytelling, unity, and human rights, we would greatly appreciate any introductions you can facilitate.

06/28/23: We are in PostProduction phase:

• Transcribing interviews,
• Logging and Labelling footage, Creating a rough story line,
• Sequencing and ordering clips, Synching the audio and video ,
• Collecting Stock Footage and Archival Footage,
• reaching out to the organizations for high resolution clips and photos,
• reaching out to the interviewees for their personal videos, photos etc.
• Adding B-roll and Visual enhancements,
• creating trailers , reviewing and gathering feedback.
