After the heartwarming response of the screening of the powerful documentary Baywatana in USA our team screened the documentary in UK (Southhall, Birmingham and Manchester). We were deeply honored to have Lord Indrajit Singh, a beacon of interfaith dialogue and a respected voice in media who blessed the screening at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Southhall London along with a distinguished guest Shukriya Barakzai, a formidable journalist, former ambassador and advocate for women's rights in Afghanistan.
Team also visited Khalsa Aid office and met Ravi Khalsa ji and his team. Shared the trailer of our documentary , Baywatana, with him was a profound experience, especially seeing his genuine reaction to the hard work and dedication of our young filmmakers.
Team is continuing with the screenings in other locations and last screening was done on June 2nd at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Medford, MA and got a great response. The whole sangat was deeply engaged and appreciative . Not a single eye was without a tear!
Team is working on re-editing of the documentary based on the feedback and aiming to bring down the duration from 83 minutes to 50 minutes.
Also, looking for more fundraising opportunities to buy the worldwide rights of the footage used in the documentary.
